This certification means that we can bring you their certified-detailer only line up of products. The most important of these is Zipang Coat and Kamikaze’s flagship Enrei paint coating.
Today I want to share with you the details of these certified-detailer only products. Plus some information on how becoming a Kamikaze Collection Certified detailer helps me offer you the best products and service.
Why Kamikaze Collection?
I’ve tested many different coatings over the years from various companies. Kamikaze Collection coatings give the paint a certain richness and glow that it’s impossible to achieve with other coatings. They give a similar lustre to a high-grade carnauba wax but with a slightly more wet-looking finish. Their coatings will undoubtedly enhance the colour of your vehicle. Couple this with the fantastic water beading to give an unbeatable self-cleaning effect. Unlike some other coating manufacturers Kamikaze coatings really do last as long as it says on the bottle.
Kamikaze Collection was created by the avid detailer, Kai Morita who set out to produce products for detailers, rather than the public. The company uses state of the art technologies to ensure their coatings are at the forefront of coating technology. They are constantly testing and improving their products ensuring that they stay at the top of their field. Not only do they test the actual products, but they also test multiple application methods. This rigorous testing allows them to determine under what conditions the coatings should be applied to ensure the very best results.
The importance of using a Kamikaze Collection certified detailer.
To become a certified Kamikaze Collection detailer we had to meet the required high standards set by Kamikaze. Firstly, we had to prove our experience in the detailing industry especially with ceramic coatings. Additionally, they had to be comfortable in the knowledge that we work in a controlled indoor environment. At Black River Details we have access to a fully climate-controlled facility. This means we can apply the coatings under the correct conditions. These coatings cannot be applied outdoors under any circumstances. The coatings require certain humidity levels and temperature levels to ensure they cure properly, failure to meet these indoor climate conditions will result in an ineffective application of the coating with reduced coating performance and durability.

Zipang coat:
Zipang coat is a breakthrough ceramic coating that has a self-levelling function, activated by heat. This helps to keep the paintwork swirl free for longer which is an ability that is usually only available on certain types of clear coats and PPF (Paint Protection Film) but is now available in a ceramic coating.
Additionally, Zipang also gives a tremendous self-cleaning effect that is stronger than the ISM Hydrocarbon coating. The vehicle stays cleaner for longer as the coating repels water, dirt, oil and grime. Zipang coat is the gold class in ceramic coating protection. At Black River Details we include as standard in the majority of our paint correction and new car protection packages.
Enrei coat:
Finally, if you are looking for a no-compromise ceramic coating that delivers the best levels of gloss, self-cleaning and durability, then look no further than Kamikaze Collection’s Enrei coat. This 2 part coating system uses a base primer that penetrates the clear coat forming an incredibly strong bond while also giving the perfect surface for the topcoat to bond to. The topcoat has been designed to give the best water-repelling performance possible. It does not suffer from the common water spotting issue that other coatings have to deal with. This is by far the best ceramic coating I’ve seen in action, the deep, rich, wet gloss it gives the paint is like no other coating I’ve seen, and it’s undoubtedly the most hydrophobic coating I’ve worked with.
