This 80’s icon (Alfa Romeo GTV6) came to us for our Full Paint Correction Detail. The aim was to get the paintwork as close to perfect as possible whilst still maintaining the integrity of the paintwork. It also had the underside flushed and treated with a corrosion inhibitor to help it withstand the harsh winter roads.
Alfa Romeo GTV6 process: As always we started with our full safe wash and decontamination process. The car was jacked up so we could thoroughly flush and clean the underside. Afterwards, we sprayed it with a corrosion inhibitor to give the metal a fighting chance against rust.
The vehicle was then brought inside and treated a meticulous full paint correction service. This process helped to get the paint as close to perfection as we could. The car had a lot of heavy hand sanding marks from poor finishing from body shops and quite a few RIDS (Random Isolated Deep Scratches). So, it took some time but we managed to add an astounding amount of gloss and depth to the paintwork. It ended up looking as if you could dive right into the metallic lake of silver and grey flake. This depth and shine was only enhanced with the application of ceramic paint protection in the form of Gyeon’s Q2 Pure to the paintwork and trims to keep the paint as good as it can in the years to come.
To finish it off the interior was given a quick clean along with the exterior glass being treated with a hydrophobic glass cleaner.
